Spring is here

Spring arrived last Sunday and has settled in nicely. She is a beautiful fawn color with black eyebrows. She likes playing with Dante the Sheltie and is happy when she sees the cat. The cat isn't very sociable, but Spring keeps trying to make friends anyway.

She has a healthy appetite and finishes all her food. Spring loves to play with toys and spends every evening emptying the toy box. She carefully takes each toy out and piles it on her dog bed. When the bed is full, she lays down beside the bed to observe her handiwork.

Dakota Spring

It was October 28th 2011 and things were not looking good for Dakota Spring. She had fallen from second out of the box to fifth at the first turn. Then, out of nowhere she reached down inside herself and found her drive. She started to work her way up the field from the outside and by the far turn worked her way to third. Still sprinting she blew past the remaining two athletes and won with a story book a 5 length finish.

Dakotas Spring raced in Daytona Beach, Florida, from August 2011 to January 2012. She then was moved to Birmingham to try her paw at that track. Fate was not as kind to her at Birmingham and after just two races she suffered a broken hock that required a $2750 surgery. She is now on the mend, however, and soon she will be ready to turn her attention to being the best pet EVER!.... Perhaps yours?
